North America Product Stewardship Resource Center
This site provides 24/7/365 access to safe handling, regulatory compliance and sustainability information for Bayer MaterialScience (BMS) products in the North America (NAFTA) region, fulfilling key components of Bayer's commitment to the International Council of Chemical Association's Global Product Strategy (GPS) and the Responsible Care® Global Charter.
This information should be of particular interest to BMS customers, distributors and employees; but members of the general public are welcome to view many of the resources available. Registration is required.

What's New:
The What's New feature displays a list of information resources recently added to the BayCare North America Product Stewardship Resource Center. Registered site users are directed to their region's What's New page automatically after login, making it easier than ever to stay up-to-date with the latest news and information available.
Safe Handling Section:
The Safe Handling section provides information about BMS's product risk characterization process, product and distribution safety support services, health and safety contact information for North America and application-specific safe handling guidance.
Regulatory Compliance Section:
The Regulatory Compliance section helps keep customers, distributors and employees informed about legislative and regulatory issues of relevance to Bayer MaterialScience products in North America. Regulatory Updates typically link to government or association Internet sites for in-depth information. Sub-sections of the "Regulatory Compliance" section provide information about compliance support services available to BMS customers, product compliance status information for various BMS raw materials, contact information and related resources.
Sustainability Section:
The Sustainability section outlines BMS's commitment to the principles of sustainable development. Subsections provide information about the recycling of BMS products used in various production processes, waste reduction guidance, emissions estimation tools, contact information for BMS personnel with specific expertise in these areas, and related resources.
Life-Cycle Assessment (LCA) Information:
Life-Cycle Assessment (LCA) is the ideal tool for identifying life-cycle stage(s) with significant environmental impacts of one product or process. In addition, LCA can be used as a tool with other techniques—such as Greenhouse Gas accounting—for assessing and reducing a product's carbon footprint.
Resources Section:
The Resources section provides access to a variety of health, environment and safety resources, including product-specific safe handling guidance documents, product safety summaries and industry links. BMS-authored documents are typically reserved for use by customers, distributors and employees.
Material Safety Data:
The MSDS tool provides access to the latest Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) from BMS. A search feature allows users to locate documents by product code or trade name. MSDS's are provided in electronic (PDF) format.
Site Search:
The "Site Search" tool allows registered users to locate information on the site using a keyword search.
BayCare Alert! E-Mails:
"BayCare Alert!" e-mail messages are distributed periodically to inform subscribers about new resources available on the site or bring attention to important health, environment and safety issues that affect the industries we serve. Users can subscribe to BayCare Alert! e-mail messages during the registration process, or at any time thereafter by updating their user profile on the site.
Page Tools:
Page tools appear throughout the site. "Language Selectors" provide access to alternate language versions of many resources. "Relevance Indicators" make it easy to identify resources of interest to users in one or more specific country within the region. "Email" and "Print" tools can be used to notify colleagues of information resources that may interest them. The "Bookmark" tool can be used to flag a page on the site for future reference, and the "Rating" and "Comment" tools can be used to offer constructive feedback.
